LOGIC DESIGN INC. LAUNCHES INDUSTRY-LEADING SIMULATION SOFTWARE
Using PLCLogix, users can convert their computer into a state-of-the-art programmable logic controller

(TORONTO, ONTARIO) - Logic Design Inc. announced the release of PLCLogix® PLC simulation software, an industry-leading product designed to emulate the operation of the most popular programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

PLCLogix enables users to practice and develop programming skills by converting their computer into a fully functioning simulation PLC to enter, test and de-bug PLC programs. PLCLogix functionality includes a graphical controller organizer and a point-and-click method of configuring various Input/Output (I/O) devices. Its highly interactive graphic user interface (GUI), simulated I/O chassis, and extensive ladder logic instruction set is designed specifically to meet the needs of programmers, educators, and students.

“It is an ideal tool for learning the fundamentals of ladder logic programming with tag-based addressing,” said Tim Mitchell, Managing Director at Logic Design Inc. “PLCLogix is highly intuitive, allows users to practice and develop their programming skills, and provides the ability to write, edit and debug ladder logic programs based on the industry-standard Logix 5000 PLC system.”

In addition, because simulation is a key component of learning and using PLCs, the software provides a realistic environment for designing and testing, allowing programmers to try various scenarios to learn how changes affect the PLC's operation and performance. This type of testing is often not feasible using hardwired operating PLCs.

PLCLogix operates on the Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 platforms. Single-user copies are at $295 – less expensive and more powerful than similar products. Special package offers are available for current registered users of other Logic Design Inc. products including CircuitLogix and RoboLogix. Multi-user site licenses for educational/corporate networks and labs are also available. Please visit www.LogicDesign.com for more information.
